Have you heard? Winter has been cancelled!

Just came in from a hike here in CT. It's 60 degrees and the kids are playing basketball outside with their shorts on! It was warm yesterday and the next 2 days are supposed to be the same. Who needs to go to the caribbean with this weather!

I'm sitting here in the SF Bay area freezing! The sun is shining, but the thermometer outside says 44 degrees. You people in CT, NY and Boston, send us our warm weather back!

Ugh. It's freezing here in northern CA. I80 was closed over the summit yesterday due to snow in the Sierras. It's reopend now but more rain and snow is predicted. Sun is trying to come out but the temp is still low.

No way CA girl! It's OUR turn for a change! You always get the good weather! Just came in for some lemonade, (I'm serious, we have a lemon tree that winters in the walk out basement but my husband put it outside today for fresh air!), and then back outside until sundown. Yippee!

In the 70's here in Southern California yesterday, but I've heard that the rain is on it's way down to us. I actually look forward to a few days of rain. With all of our gorgeous weather lately, it will be nice to see how the rest of the world gets by in the winter.

It's 54 degrees F here in north central Wisconsin and it was 51 yesterday. There is no snow cover and the snowmobile trails have never even opened this season. I know some winter-related tourism businesses are feeling the pain. On the other hand, that's not really MY problem.

Don't put away those winter coats and shovels just yet. They are predicting snow for Chicago midweek & sleet/snow for the Ohio Valley Wed. & Thursday and near normal temps for next weekend. It has been fun while it lasted....

Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Please keep it warm in New England until after 2-13. Got stuck with business trip to Hartford and it would look funny wearing a Hawaiian shirt with long underwear out the sleeves.

Well, this Buffalo gal was real happy to have 50 degrees today and to see green grass!!! The snow has gone bye bye. People were out walking, running, etc. today. To tell you the truth, since the big storm (and no, the entire city was NOT buried in 7 feet of snow - just some of it) we've had only about an additional inch and it hasn't been that cold. You never know what to expect here!

We've had so little snow, we had to purchase some truckloads from neighboring Buffalo for a festival.

I'm with you, bm, I love the snow too. Used to get a lot more snow growing up in the midwest city that I live in than we have in a very long time. I miss it. My kids miss it too! Let's hear it for snow angels, snowman and igloos!

It was 50 degrees on Fargo on 1/25! With such a great winter, construction goes on non-stop, schools are saving small fortunes in heating costs, etc.

(Have had my fill of the whining snowmobilers.)

Rochester Chic - I from there too. Don't you just love it. It seems like we have a dome over us. Last week end, got on the thruway at exit 45 it snowed non stop to Albany. Never got an inch here my husband told me. Ain't it grand. By the way, the snow we bought fron Buffalo melted in two days. What a waste, first helped them move it there and then we came back and then went back and bought some. Wow - the mayor is a tad confused.

I had to turn on the air conditioner in the car yesterday-IN JANUARY? Listen folks, you know that the "snow gods" are gonna get us in April with a storm of 2 feet? Meanwhile, enjoy! My poor spring flowers are already 2/3 inches out of the ground.
