You can find lots of reviews on tripadvisor.

We stayed there in January (with a ridiculously low rate I found on Easyclicktravel). Hotel is just fine and nicely located, with everything you need nearby. Nothing outstanding, but nothing objectionable either. Our room was very nice and we were very pleased with our stay.

We stayed there two years ago, and I would echo what djkbooks said. The best thing about the hotel for us was its location: we took the Airporter bus from JFK to Grand Central, then were able to walk up Lexington to the hotel (but we do travel light). Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square, the UN and many other points of interest are within walking distance, and you can catch the #6 subway just outside to get further downtown (or uptown).

I never stayed there 'cause I live here, but it's a convenient location and basically right on top of a subway stop.
