hard rock hotel discounts?

I was wondering if becoming a member of any of the Hard Rock Cafe's clubs intitles you to a discount at any of their hotels. I have tried to become a member of one of their clubs but it seems the website is not working. Or I'm doing something wrong! Looking to stay at the Orlando location after Easter 2005 with two boys 15 & 13. Any suggestions on getting a better rate? I've tried using an Ent. book before only to be told, "NO rooms."!!! Thanks for any help.

Have you looked on Universal's website? A few years back we booked a stay and play package which included park passes.

There are several different discounts that can be used at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. There is the Entertainment discount using the Entertainment book, AAA discount(if you belong to AAA), Florida resident discount, FAN club discount, and the Annual Pass Holders discount. Go to www.disboards.com and scroll to the Universal Discussion Forums. You will learn all you need to know there!

I've stayed there twice (three days last week, four days eralier this year) and can tell you that discounts are very hard to get. In January, the best deal was buying a Universal vacation package with park tickets; the deluxe room (a standard is way too small for more than two) came out to $180 per night. This visit we didn't want to go to the parks, and even though I am a Loews First platinum member, have an entertainment book, and am military, I could not get a deluxe room for less than $249 per night, and then another $30 for taxes.

As much as we love the Hard Rock, I think it's time to look into the Pacific Beach. It's usually much cheaper, and this last visit to the HRH was very disappointing compared to the earlier visit. (Poor service, rooms getting a little worn)

By the way, the Hard Rock Cafe is totally unrelated to the Hard Rock Hotel. HRH is run by Loews.

Postal, I'm pretty sure it is owned by Hard Rock and managed by Loews. Loews doesn't own the Hard Rock Hotel.

As far as I know, the three on-site hotels at Universal--the Portofino Bay Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel and the Royal Pacific Hotel are all Loew's hotels. I've always booked my rooms by calling Loew's hotels.
I have to disagree with Postal about the size of the rooms at the HRH. I've known several families of four who have stayed in a standard room. You just have to schedule your bathroom times!
