Had lunch there today -- seated across from two tourist ladies who had headed there straight from the airport after having read about the James Beard Award in the Honolulu newspaper.

There goes our dining secret! #39;(

jamal,

Part of the charm of Hamura's is the setting. You must eat in and watch the goings on. It's a crack up. Don't forget to order the fried won-ton. They are not on the menu, but they are SO good! Have a great trip.

How'd I miss this thread???

I love sitting at the counter feeling like Gulliver!

Didn't make it there last year....every darn time we went by it was crowded.
