Half-day Savannah sightseeing

I'll be in Savannah from Saturday late afternoon to Monday early afternoon. Given other plans, it really looks like I'll only have Sunday after brunch, ending about 12-12:30, for sightseeing proper. We'll have time elsewhere to walk around various squares and go to Forsyth Park.

Given limited time, I can probably only see a couple of sights. I love impressionism and paintings, so I was thinking of Telfair Academy over SCAD. I'd also like to stay maybe one stately home.

So, Telfair plus something else, from about 1-5 on a Sunday? Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi Joe,

If things haven't changed, entry to the Telfair Museum will give you also entry to the Owens-Thomas House, located a few blocks away, which makes this early 19th century home a choice that jumps out at you. It's a lovely walk passing by some handsome squares as you go between the museum and historic house. I thought the tour of the Owens-Thomas House was excellently done, although I imagine this depends upon the guide you get.

Did these two and the Jepsen on the combination ticket. Liked the Telfair the best. Had amazing dinners at Olde Pink House and Alure. Highly recommend. Paula Deen's place was just so-so lunch - nothing special. Wish we had kept our B Matthews reservations.
