Guess what I just sold!

My copy of Fodors' How to Pack! Thanks, eBay; that's $4 more in my travel piggybank.

How many of you folks out there still have your copy? Have you read it?

Info for newcomers: A couple of years ago, Fodors shipped these out, on request, to their 100,000 best friends.

Congratulations! I bet this will cause a wave of selling magnets

But what about the other side: somebody paid to learn how to pack? WOW!!

Awww... how can you depart with your beloved How to Pack book? We got one too, but wish we received the highly touted Fodors pin.

$4 for your travel fund!

Wow, I hope you don't hear a ping each time somebody mentions your nickname

Faina, not only did somebody pay to be told how to pack, but the book is on its way to ZIP code 02138, which is mostly Harvard.

I got an extra chuckle, remembering my late husband's stories about being on Dorm Crew after the other students had left in June, gleaning so many left-behind goodies that he made more money off the loot than from the hourly wages.

Final chuckle: I'm in the process of downsizing a 10-room house into an RV, selling a LOT of it on eBay. Traveling light is my theme!

Oh, Anonymous, I was wrong. If it's Harvard's zip code, it must be a collector (LOL)

Love that book - it's on my side table right now.

Anyone who visits ends up picking it up, then leafing thru, then stopping at something to read. Amazing to watch.
(OK, I'll get a life)

We need to get a book 'How to pack it all into a carryon' that's my goal.

That was one reason I had no problem parting with the book. Its real title was, "How to Pack a Whole Lot of Stuff."
