Green Mountain Inn in Stowe, Vt

Has anyone stayed at the Green Mountain Inn, and can you please comment on whether it is a nice place to stay or not? How are the accomodations, the service, location, property/grounds, etc. Anything you can offer would be great. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Vermont is a state with the least diversified population in the United States. Do you realize that only 0.5% of their population is African-American?

They also love Ben & Jerry's, an organization that promotes social issues in an attempt to hide the fact that they sell a product that is unhealthier than a Big Mac.

You can have Vermont...

Thanks Ron, but I happen to love the mountains, the countryside and the that which mother nature has given us -- I don't think she has a political affiliation.

I really do need feedback on the Green Mountain Inn ... thank.

Ellie,
We have not stayed at the Green Mountain Inn, but we have stayed in Stowe. Love the Green Mountains! The Inn
is located in the downtown area, very pretty, but do you really want to stay
in town? We have eaten lunch at the Inn,which was very good. The property
when we were there last was undergoing
some construction, adding new buildings.
I must admit we are partial to Yee Old
England Inn on Mountain road, within
walking distance to Downtown and has
a more Inn like atmosphere.
Go to www.gostowe.com
On that website there should be more information on the Green Mountain Inn.
TA.

TA ... Is there a reason not to stay in town? Is is noisy -- it's been 20 years since I've been to Stowe, so I have no idea what the town area is like.

Thanks.

No no particular reason, its just that
there are so many beautifull places to stay that offer the same amenties as the
Green Mountain that are on Mountain Road
which in my opinion is better than staying in town. YOu can go to town and park then walk around for a few hours
and enjoy the town that way.
Just my opinion.
Good luck and have fun!

For a counter I think I'd rather be in town than the mountain road. Green Mountain Inn is a great location. Friends who have stayed there have said good things about it - I haven't stayed myself as it is pricier than I like to pay.

Thanks all. We have a couple teenagers and they would like to be able to go off on their own. My thought was that if we were in town, they could walk there on there own.
