Green Bay for one week in June..

..so much for our trip to Colorado!...A cousin is getting married in Green Bay Wisconsin so now we will make a week's vacation out of it. We have three kids 14/12/7 and I dont' know much about Green Bay. Where does one recommend staying for one week with kids? Thanks in advance.

Do you need to stay in Green Bay for more than a day or two?

Why not spend the week in the Door Peninsula or Michigan's Upper Peninsula?

When we went to Green Bay, my kids liked:
Packer Hall of Fame and tour of Lambeau Field
National RR Museum
Children's Museum
Heritage Hill State Historical Park
Neville Public Museum
Bay Beach Amusement Park
Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary

Here's a website: www.packercountry.com

We always stayed at Homestead resort in Fish Creek, right by the entrance to Peninsula State Park.

Depending on the budget,Tundra Lodge Resort and Water Park is a fun place to stay with kids. Not huge compared to Wisconsin Dells etc., but fun. It's just down the street from Lambeau Field. FYI, the Green Bay Children's Museum is currently closed. You could also head down toward Appleton. Their children's museum is fabulous, they have a Wild Air play place, and a great mall. =)

Get a budget hotel with a pool to use the facilities to get ready for the wedding. After (and or before if wedding is in the middle)go camping at different spots. Head north to camp a couple days in the pine forest region State park. Camp in the Door county direction. Kids/water/woods is usually a good adventure combination. Green Bay is nothing special to stay in. One or two nights hotel cost would pay for a nice 12 x 12 metal accordion fold out canopy and hang under tent combo. I bought mine at Dicks Sporting goods.
