Great Vegas Restaurants

We will be there for 3 nights next week---what are some top restaurants there? We love Italian---anything except Chinese. We don't mind a little pricey with atmosphere.

Joe's in the Ceasar's Palace Arcade is owned by Joe's Stone Crab of Miami. A full selection menu of steaks and seafood. Very good.

Depends on your budget. Go for breakfast buffet at Paris. If you are there on Sunday and have the money, Bally's Sterling Brunch is very good.

By a "little pricey" do you mean about $500 for two including drinks or a decent bottle of wine? That's easy to do in Las Vegas -- and even more than that.

The buffet at Bellagio is good if you like that kind of thing.

For a local treat, Battistas Hole in the Wall is nice for Italian. It's on a side street near Bally's.

We thoroughly enjoyed "Olives" at the Bellagio. Even though it is considered more casual dining than some of their other restaurants, it was wonderful...food, service, atmosphere. \/

We enjoyed it so much for lunch our first day, we went back there for dinner at the end of our 3 day stay, which is something we try to avoid. I always prefer to try new restaurants. We were lucky enough to get a table by the window so we could watch the dancing waters.

You will need to make reservations.

I agree about the "a little pricey" comment... dinners on the strip at one of the best restaurants are pricey and the rates keep going up and up.

I concur with the previous comments about Joe's and anything at the Wynn.

We ate at Bartolotta in the Wynn last night and it was one of the best meals we've ever had on the strip. A mini review is here, last post:

Also any pasta dish can be ordered as an main entree. Atmosphere is amazing.

Ate at Daniel Boulud and Okada previously, both very good. Joe's is also up there for good food but the ambiance is better at the Wynn.

Mario Batali's new restaurant, B & B, is excellent. I just went two weeks ago and loved it. The atmosphere was intimate, the service excellent, and the food delish. Highly recommend the goat cheese tortolloni...amazingly light and delicate.

For Italian, Il Mulino or Rao's (both in Ceasar's Palace).

If you can I would try the Seablue restaurant at the MGM Grand, I'm not sure who the chef is over there, but the food is fantastic!!
http://www.123world.com/las-vegas or try the Andre's, if off the strip but it's a little French restaurant that's worth it!!! andrelv.com . There are so many great places to eat, it's a tough choice? But I do think you should try the Seablue restaurant if you can.

Have fun and win BIG!!!

Craftsteak at MGM. It is owned by Tom Colicchio, the head chef on the show Top Chef. I went there for restaurant week and their prix fixe menu was some of the best food I've ever had - and I'm not even much of a steak person. Try the corn sidedish. TO DIE FOR!

The Palm Restaurant at Ceasar's. We've been there a number of times and never had a bad meal.

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon- it's the (relatively) lower priced tapas style Joel Robuchon restaurant. It was by far the most amazing meal I've ever had.

B&B had excellent food, the restaurant look was nice (dim, lots of wood, etc), but the music didn't fit and our server might have been borrowed from TGIFridays. They also really mean it that everyone at the table had to get the same tasting menu.

Il Fornaio in NYNY was really good- we just had lunch there. They had better bread than B&B.

We enjoyed the restaurants at the Wynn as well - get a table for the "water show" it is wonderful.

We also enjoy BOA - in the forum at Ceasars, as well as I believe it is Aqua Knox? at the Venitain.

We ate at Toa and I was not "wowed"... but dh enjoyed it.

I had a very good breakfast at Il Fornaio. More in the moderate range IMO.
