Great Steakhouses in Scottsdale

Looking to end our Arizona trip with a meal at a great steakhouse. I was looking into Mastro or Drinkwaters. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I think Maestro's is a better bet if you are into the food. If you want to 'be seen' it's Drinkwater's. If you want to sit outside in the desert while you are eating, I'd probably chose El Charro. But why come to AZ and get steak????? why not get some of the great and unique SW or Mexican food?????

Thank you very much. My husband has severe food allergies to several food types. Steak is one of the few items he can eat so I thought for an anniversary dinner we would go to a good steakhouse. I appreciate your help.

Thank you!!

Consider trying Mosaic in North Scottsdale near Pinnacle Peak for your anniversary dinner.

The chef is a woman who will flat out cater to your husband's food needs. She does it all the time. When you call to make your reservations (I'd do it a bit in advance sho she can be prepared) tell the host the situation and ask if you can speak to the chef. She is terrific. She will be sure to have food that your husband can eat. I can't recommend the restaurant enough when you have food issues.

They have an ever changing art gallery on the walls of the restuarant which I also like. Check out their website. http://www.mosaic-restaurant.com/

For a "pure" steakhouse out there, it is Mastro's hands down.
But I too fell in love with Mosaic and would agree with the previous post completely. Met the owner/chef on the way out and she was most gracious and appreciative of our appreciation of her establishment.

All I know is: if you get to southern California, be sure to have a steak at Ted's of Beverly Hills. Ted Bell, the owner, is one interesting character, maybe just a little full of himself, always asking you if you know who he is. He claims to be the guy who invented the baked potato in tin foil, for one. But I know I'll keep going back whenever I'm in LA.
