Great Rest. in San Antonio

We will only be in San Antonio for a few nights. We are staying at the Marriott. Can you recommend a few GREAT restaurants? Southwestern is good. Veal, steak, fish are top choices. Fine dining...good atmosphere are important. Thanks.

You'll want to try Boudro's on Commerce St. - consistently rated as one of the best for S'western cusine.

Hi AAF,

Another vote for Boudro's which also has Riverwalk access. Other noteworthy fine dining experiences that are unique to San Antonio include: Biga on the Banks, 203 S. St. Marys Street; Anaqu Grill 555 S. Alamo; Le Reve, 152 E. Pecan Street; Las Canarias, 112 College Street and Paesanos, 403 E. Commerce Street.

Agree with all the above - and they are pretty close to your hotel. If you don't mind a taxi ride, consider Silo on Austin Highway (a bit of the trendy but solidly delicious), or The Lodge in Castle Hills (young chef who keeps piling up acclaim, beautiful setting, great food)
