Great Offer at SF Hotel

From a New York Times article: Hotel Galleria Park in San Francisco is offering a promotion for which you pay the sum of the digits of your birth year. For example if you were born in 1951, your room rate would be $51 per night for a single or double. The offer is good from 11/15 thru 3/31. I just went to the site and randomly typed in a reservation request for 11/15, and the room rates ranged from $99 to $260. This is a nice boutique hotel, which is part of the Kimpton group. Check it out at:

I'm not affiliated with the hotel in any way. Just like to pass along good opportunities!

Yikes! It's not the sum of the digits of your birth year, it's "pay the year you were born." Where's that edit function anyway?

It's legit. I've made a reservation for December. Over the phone, the lowest rate they will give you is $60, but when you check in and show ID, you get the "pay the year you were born rate."
If you drive, be advised, parking is $30 a night. But it's a very good location.

This seems like an awesome deal, especially for the older generation. Just think, if you had your whits about you and were born in 1900, you'd be staying for free. I'd say 2000, but I don't know of any infants with credit cards.

Topping for Kal: The Galleria Park is offering a "pay by your birth year" rate thru January. For example if you were born in 1952, you'd pay $52. Thought you might be interested.
