Great Hotel with golf and spa in Phoenix, Scottsdale area

Friend is looking for a great hotel that has a golf course and good spa for next March. Price range probably in the $200 range per night. Thanks

I may be wrong but I don't believe it's possible to get a spa/golf hotel in March in the $200 range in Scottsdale. Pro baseball is in spring training then and there are lots of snowbirds visiting then as well.

amwosu, you are quoted in the Fodors 2006 AZ book!!! I saw it at Barnes and Noble last weekend. A quote about Pinnacle Peak, on first page of one of the chapters. It was cool to see you there.

$200.00 might be a dream for what you want. however, I checked the Embassy Suites Scottsdale and their price showed $229.00 for early March. I have stayed there - the rooms are very nice, there is a decent but not great golf course on property - free breakfast and coctail hour ... I don't think a spa on site. It is away from Scottsdale proper. We used this hotel as a base and drove to Troon North to golf - I recall about 20 minutes.

You might wish to check out the Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Spa...their rates should be better than Scottsdale and it is a nice facility on the east end of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Thanks for your replies. I just assumed $200 as we have a timeshare and don't need a hotel when we go to Phoenix so don't really know prices. When hearing this, glad we do. Anyway, give me some ideas of places that have the great spa and golf courses not worrying about price so I can give them at least an idea of what they are looking at.

Sanctuary on Camelback is the bomb for golf and spa. Crazy expensive but right up against Camelback Mountain with gorgeous views, especially at sunset. I'd say its more in the $800/nt minimum. I looked for a room in the off season and the best I could find there was $400 and that was for June.
