golf Phoenix/Scottsdale&Sedona

Planning a trip to Phoenix/Scottsdale and then on to Sedona and Grand Canyon in October. I am a high handicaper (25) and don't want to spend a lot of money for golf because I am not very good. Any suggestions on nice but reasonable courses to play?

We have alot of public courses with lower costs. 500 Club in NW Phoenix, Cave Creek in North Phx., Encanto in central Phx., Fountain Hills in NE Scottsdale, Papago in south Scottsdale/Phx area are all courses that come to mind and they won't break your wallet.
