7 days in Feb
Hi All,
I am a New Yorker with a 7 day vaction in Feb. Looking for off the beaten path adventure with some relaxation. Me and my wife have gone to the main places FL, Las Vegas, SF, SD. Any suggestion will be great. Not much of a skier.

How about Tucson or Phoenix? Weather is nice that time of year. There is a lot to do in Tucson or you could stay in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for a few days and then go to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Do a search on this board for Arizona, it's a popular destination.

I'm going to the Fountain Hills Arts and Crafts Fair the weekend of Feb. 24-26. Over 500 artisans and a balloon ralley on Sunday morning at the fountain.
Check out www.fountainhillsguide.com for info on the town and festivals. FHs is just east of Scottsdale so you can stay in Scottsdale or Phoenix if you don't want something as sleepy as Fountain Hills. Copperwynd Resort is really the only place to stay in Fountain Hills.
Lots to do in Phoenix area- Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West, Desert Botanical Garden, driving the Apache Trail, hiking Pinnacle Peak and Camelback, driving to Sedona for a day or overnight, eating an artery clogging four cheese grilled cheese sandwich and washing it down with chili beer at the Satisfied Frog in the cowboy town of Cave Creek.
