Grandma's Saloon, Bloomington,MN

Going up to Minnesota for the Badgers vs. Golphers football game in a couple of weeks.
6 couples wondering what Grandma's is like or any other ideas for dinner?

Grandma's is basically a sports bar/grill place. It has similar food to TGI Fridays- so burgers, wings, etc. If you are looking for other suggestions, let me know what kind of food you like, price range, location requirements if any, etc and I can try to think of some other suggestions.

The original Grandma's is in Duluth. They sponsor the annual marathon there. It is now a chain, with 4-5 locations in the Twin Cities. But JaneS is right, it is basically a burgers and pasta joint (they are known for their pasta). The food is OK, but not that unique. I don't know Bloomington all that well, except for the restaurants in the Mall of America. There are several good restaurants in the MOA - Twin City Grill, Tucci Bunuch, California Cafe, Napa Valley Grille.

JaneS.....I have two problems...
1)they haven't announced what time the game will start and 2) I don't know how to email you. We would like your ideas but I'll wait until they (or TV)decides when the game will start. Thanks to you and Marie [email protected]

Poppa96-
I just looked online and it looks like the game is at noon on 11/8?

Just post your messages on this board, I'll check it periodically to see your responses. Is there specific reason you'd like to stay in Bloomington for dinner (transportation issues, etc)? There are some great restaurants in the Twin Cities but most of them are not in Bloomington. If you need to stay in Bloomington, some good options might be Kinkaid's (steak and seafood) and Ciao Bella (Italian)...but again, without knowing your tastes or budget, it's hard to recommend

Jane
