iceeu2 - if you get out to Dole (on Oahu) - their gift shop has some great stuff to bring home - but most of that was souvineers I brought home for ME! Like the BEST maui onion salsa - I even order it online now since that's the only place I've ever found it.

In Kauai.. there is a great gift shop in the entrance for the National Tropical Botanical Gardens tour in poipu/lawai area. This is a really great organization and the stuff in the shop and in the gardens is super and worthwhile! www.ntbg.org/location.html

For ourselves..we can't bear to leave kauai without fistfuls of PoPo's cookies. Unlike Kauai Kookies..they have no hydrogenated oil in them, which is something i appreciate. They might not keep as long, but anyone near eats them up so fast it no matter! I met popo herself last october to see if she would ship the cookies. She will, but along analog (mail/phone) routes only.

Early in this post, Kal says that he brings home a whole new attitude.

The real icee came by a little while ago for lunch and he commented.."It's a good thing we are leaving for vacation because I need a major adjustment in my attitude".!!

Hey Budman, the real icee will be ok as early as 5 p.m., Friday, May 13th, 2005!!!!

And, then get this, we have to drive an hour to Chattanooga on Friday night to see the grandgirls dance in their ballet recital. Then back to Chattanooga on Saturday again to catch that big jet plane for Hawaii (well, Atlanta, actually).
