When I visited San Diego in the past, some friends who lived there took me to Hash House a Go-Go and it was fantastic. The portions are enough for two to share, and it was all very fresh.

Yes, loved it Mom! And can't wait to go back.
Another restaurant that I can recommend is in the North County in Solana Beach called Claires on Cedros. It is a completely LEED building, and their food is organic from local farms. The food is awesome as is the entire building. It is a beautiful place to spend time with friends or family. I had a steak salad that has to rank up there with the best meal I've ever eaten. But their menu has a very large selection and breakfast and lunch are served all day. Get their early because the wait can be torture!!
