good, cheap San Fran Hotel?

Hi we have a early flight home afterour 3 week tour of California. Were spending the last 2 days up Big sur/Monterery so would like a nice clean but bargain hotel around SFO the night before our earl flight.
Cheers

Check www.hotels.com for info on hotels in SF. I found the Adante Hotel there and stayed at the hotel for a week in December and loved it. Close to Union Square and some great shopping. Also close to the cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and lots of restaurants.

I think the room was a good size for 2 people and I think it was around $70 a night.

They also offer breakfast (muffins, coffe/tea juice) included with the room.

Have a great trip, sounds like you are going to have a ball.

if it's a weekend the Best Western El Rancho usually has good rates and is very convenient. Even better rate if you have an "Entertainment Card" or AAA

Is Priceline feasable for you? Go to biddingfortravel.com. Looks like several are getting the Doubletree at SFO for $37-$38.

Agree with trav completely.

Try biddingfortravel.com for info.

Then go to priceline.com and bid 3* (no lower!!!)

You should get a very good hotel for about $38 plas taxes and other fees. Get rid of the car, parking is an additional $11-15.

If you don't get what you want under the SFO category, add "South San Francisco" and up your bid by a few dollars; if you still dont' get a hotel, then add "San Mateo" and up a few more dollars. However, if you bid "SFO" at $38, you should get a nice hotel.

Good luck!

There's quite a few Airport hotels - Sheraton Four Points; Holiday Inn Express; La Quinta; there's even a Motel 6 and they all have shuttle buses to and from the Airport. Located North of the airport (about 5 mins away) in South San Francisco. Get ready for a return to reality after your idyllic 2 days in Big Sur!
