San Francisco Hotel for anniversary

My husband and I will be celebrating our first anniversary and will be attending a fancy wedding of a friend the same night. We thought it would be fun to spend the night in the city after the wedding (which is near Embarcadero). We are from the SF Bay Area, so there won't be any sight seeing, we'd just like a romantic, quaint place to spend the night for about $100. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

well..for $100 a night near the Embarcadero you might have some difficulty but check out Priceline(they won't be quaint)..you might also check out the Griffon Hotel. This is a small boutique hotel.

For about $150.00 or so, I would recommend the Monaco. I don't know if that is a summer rate, but it is a wonderful hotel with a restaurant that occupies the most beautiful dining room in the City.

I have not checked the discounters (Travelocity, Orbitz, etc.) recently, but the Stanford Court has been great the last few years since the meltdown in Silicon Valley. Check www.tripadvisor.com
M
PS their Lemon Souffle Pancakes with raspberry sauce and fresh raspberries is enough "world class" breakfast for two.

Kimpton group of hotels are all really nice and some of them are around $100 a night, most likely a little more. Try the Triton, the Galleria Park or the Juliana.
