Golf course in Anaheim Orange CA

We will have a family vaction in Anaheim Orange area in Aug 2006. I will be staying at the Doubletree Anaheim/Orange. I would like to spend 1 or 2 days play a 9 hole or 18 holes around the area. I am a beginner golfer. Do you have any suggestion any golf course nearby that I should try out. Thanks.

There's one called Riverview that is in Santa Ana, not too far from the Doubletree. You're staying in the one at the Block, right?

Also, a little further away is Anaheim Hills GC, in Anaheim Hills.

Brea Golf Course is a little further yet than AH.

There is a little executive course that used to be fun, have not been there for ages...Ridgeline in Orange. It is up in the hills in the Orange Park Acres area, kind of a cool area and it isn't any farther than Anaheim Hills. Lots of kids play there in the summertime so you should feel fine as a beginner, not so intimidating! It is also way cheaper than AH. Riverview is okay, also more laidback than Anaheim Hills, but if we get any rain a river runs through it!

I just remembered another little course that is perfect for beginners..I had to check to make sure it is still there...Willowick in Santa Ana. It would be very close to your hotel. Have a great trip and hope your game goes better than mine!http://www.willowickgolf.com/ww/ww.a...4051&RN=553342
