Girls weekend spa trip

Hi everyone,
I want to plan a long weekend with my sisters (4 of us all together) to celebrate a significant birthday.

I'd like to travel anytime from late April through the middle of June. This would be 3 days, 2 nights (or 4 days, 3 nights) and I'm thinking it would be fun to do something spa-like...hiking, yoga, healthy food, relaxing activities.

I just saw the spa review newsletter and a couple of those suggestions look interesting, but most seem priced for a whole week. I'm thinking of spending around $600, not including airfare, and I'd like to stay in the States, i.e. FL, AZ, NM, CA--but if there are good options for other warm places, I'd be interested in hearing your advice.

I have some flexibility with dates, price, and location. Any good experiences with this sort of girls weekend that you can share will be much appreciated.

If you could hold off till June, prices drop big time for 5* resorts in Phoenix area and they have some of the best resort/spas in the US.
$600 for 3-4 nights in a 5* resort along with spa treatments is quite doable.
Check expedia.com to get ideas and prices.
I like Sanctuary, Phoenician, Royal Palms, Four Seasons, Sheraton Wild Horse Pass, Fairmont Princess, Boulder's with a Golden Door spa and Montelucia Inter-Continental.

Lesser $$ would be the Buttes Marriott in Tempe..

We get rooms in the summer that normally go for $800- $1k a night for $100 and the great big resort pools, cocktails, sun and fun along with spa treatments goes from spending thousands of dollars to under $500 for 4 days!

The Grove Park Inn in Asheville NC has a fabulous spa (it has gotten many great write ups) The town is really nice for food, shopping, music, etc...There are many areas for hiking and outdoor adventure if you are inteterested in those activites.

You might check luxurylink.com to see if there are any packages. The Florida spas shoudl be pretty cheap in summer.
