gettysburg in March?
We want to visit Gettysburg/stay a night or two March 13-15.
Is this time of year bad to go?
I want to stay in a "haunted" house/inn close to gettysburg. Any ideas?
Good places to eat near by?
This will be our 1st wedding anniversary trip. Thanks!

If you or your husband are history buffs, I'd recommend staying at the Doubleday Inn on Oak Ridge. It's the only lodging facility on the actual battlefield and although it doesn't have any official "ghosts", it's located in the area where much of the fighting occurred on July 1st 1863. www.doubledayinn.com Of course the weather that time of year will be very unpredictable. You could have early spring weather or even snow.... The good thing about March is that you should not have to fight the crowds that summer brings.

We've stayed at the Gettystown Inn and it's quite nice. The website is www.dobbinhouse.com The Dobbin house is a great place to eat (we like the Springhouse tavern in the basement) and the Inn is right next door. All within walking distance of most everything.
