Fun Home now on Broadway
Here is the NY Times review for this extraordinary musical which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize last year when it ran at the Public theatre .

Full disclosure: the play is based on the autobiographical graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, an old friend of my wife.
Bechdel won a Mac Arthur genius grant last year too!
It is an amazing show. Poignant, wise, funny, great music, engaging.

She is amazing. When we saw it the first time at the Public theater we were in the first row and boy it was amazing to be so close to that huge voice in what was then an even tinier body. Also to be so close to Michael Cerveris was great. I liked it even better performed in the round.

Anyone heading to NYC in the next couple of years ought to be thinking about trying to get tickets to this wonderful show ASAP -- not sure how far ahead they've moved the advance sales. They'll only be harder and harder to get after its well deserved Best Musical Tony last night!
