ft. lauderdale lago mar or marriott
We are traveling at the end of January with a 1 year old. I thought we wanted to stay at Lago Mar because the resort seems to have everything (but is expensive) Is the Marriott better because of the water taxi and maybe other reasons I dont know about?

The Lago Mar would be a perfect place to stay with a 1-yr. old If you can swing it, get a 1 bedroom suite-they are very big,and you would be able to stay up after the baby was asleep. They also have a small dining area with microwave, refrig., and dishes. There is a nice playground area here on the sand. Also,2 nice pools, one which is heated.

If you stay at the Lago Mar, you may want a car (parking is free here), but you don't really need one if you don't mind taking a cab if you want to go to different restaurants and stores. The Lago and Marriott are very close to one another on the beach, but because of the way the canals run, it is a further walk to stores from the Lago.

Stayed at the Marriott Harbor Beach resort in November last year. Had a wonderful time. Hotel is beautiful located right on the ocean. They have activities daily for kids. We got a great rate off of priceline. Only $105 a night. We would stay here again. I would definitely rent a car. We did. This way you can go and see everything at your leisure. The only negative is Marriott Harbor charges $16.00 a day for parking. We thought that is quite steep!!
