Harry, sorry...I meant to answer your question re: Old Heidelburg & Shirttail Charlies. Yes, I have eaten at Old Heidelburg. The first time I ate there the food was very good...when I went again I wasn't impressed at all. Maybe they got a new chef, but I haven't been back since. I ate at Shirttail Charlies a long while ago...can't even remember what I had!

Sunniest, I just keep finding your posts. I looked in the phone book for "Bungalow 9" and didn't see anything listed. It might be a new restaurant, though. It peaked my curiosity when they said it was on University near A1A (the two roads are nowhere near each other and don't intersect.)
I don't go anywhere on Christmas Day, except when I need emergency supplies at the grocery store...LOL. You might want to call the hotel concierge and find out what they suggest for Christmas Day. Being a tourist area, I'm sure there will be things to do on Christmas Day. The malls won't be open, though. The Water Taxi/Bus will be running and just touring the area and walking down Las Olas Blvd daytime or nightime (it was beautiful this evening when I drove by) will keep you busy. Bars, restaurants, and some shopping along the beach will be prevalent. I spent Christmas in Key West a few years ago and was quite surprised so many places were open.
What dates will you be here? I'll scope out the local papers for you.
