Frontier Airline- 2nd checked bag is only $1 this summer

Just saw that Frontier is having a special "sale" on checked bags - after you check one and pay $20 each way for that, your second checked bag is only $1 each way (instead of $30). So on our family trip we'll be sure to put two bags under one person's name instead of having two people each check one.

just fly Southwest and pay less for the ticket in the first place and then no fees for any bags.

I do like the free Dish Network on Frontier for the first 30 minutes of the flight.

LOL Spiro, I wondered if it happened on our flight only.

Baker, thanks for information!

A great deal from Frontier --- but $0 for both bags on Southwest is even better.

We're flying Frontier in October--I hope the special is still on. Southwest doesn't fly non-stop to where we're going, so they're not an option for us.

And southwest still hands out peanuts. They do irritate me on charging you $10 if you want to get an early boarding pass. I still like the old fashion way of just getting your assigned seat at the time of your reservation. It amazes me now at how many more carry on bags that people carry.

Spirobulldog, we agree! We love Southwest but unfortunately it doesn't fly into Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Once we flew SWA into Salt Lake City and drove to and from Jackson Hole, but everyone voted against the the loooooong drive there and back this time. Better -- if much more expensive -- to fly into and out of Jackson Hole.

But it was no fun getting charged for EVERYTHING -- $8 movies each way on the longer flight, that's $8 for each person, $6 for TV on EACH LEG, money for snacks, etc.
