Depends on where in the Bronx - since more than one subway lines goes there.
You need to either give a specific address - or find out what subway line (or perhaps bus if the subway isn;t close enough) goes to the area you want to be.
(You'll want to take the Air Train to Jamaica - $5. From there subway or LIRR into the city - but don;t know if you need to take another subway from there (or which) or perhaps one of the Bronx commuter buses.

Can be done by train - trip will take close to 2 hours. Cost - $7.
Take Airtrain ($5) at JFK to Howard Beach Station. Take A train to Broadway-Nassau station. Transfer to #5 (follow signs to Fulton St. station). Take #5 train to East 180th Street station in the Bronx where you transfer to a #2 †rain. Get off at 233rd St. station.
Go to Hopstop.com for detailed directions. Type in HOWARD BEACH as starting point, change MANHATTAN to QUEENS For destination type in E. 233RD ST. AND WEBSTER AVE., Change Manhattan to BRONX

Thanks!
www.hopstop.com is very useful. I was trying to search for something similar on the MTA website.
