French Quarter hotel with pool

Hi! My mom and I will be traveling to New Orleans the second week of July (yes, I know it will be hot) and I am looking for a hotel in the French Quarter with a nice pool. Previously I've stayed on Royal (The Andrew Jackson), but I am looking for something a little nicer and as mentioned, a decent pool. So far I've checked out the Omni Royal Orleans... Any other suggestions would be appreciated! Also, French Quarter is a must, the closer to the action, the better. Thanks!

The Holiday Inn Chateau La Moyne has a nice pool, although I don't know how it compares to the Andrew Jackson since I don't know that hotel.

The Andrew Jackson is just a very simple bed and breakfast type place. The location is great and the price it right...but it doesn't have many ammentites.
Thank you for the suggestion!

I like the Royal Sonesta. Get a room overlooking the courtyard/pool area instead of Bourbon Street so the noise won't keep you up all night!

I stayed at the Omni Royal Orleans last August and found it to be quite nice. Location can't be beat. Got it on Priceline for $60 a night and couldn't have been happier.

It's not quaint by any means, but the Marriot on Canal Street has a terrific pool. It's on the top of the hotel, like 30 floors up (I might be imagining the height -- could be fewer floors). And I thought the rooms were very nice as well.

We typically stay at the Bourbon Orleans. It has a cute courtyard and pool area. You feel as though you are in a different world!

I think you would be very happy staying at the Omni Royal Orleans. The pool on the top floor is nice and the location is great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great meal at the Rib Room. I doubt you would be disappointed.

I recently stayed at the Maison Dupuy on Toulouse, 2 blocks up from Bourbon Street. The pool is located in the courtyard and very pleasant. I couldn't believe that people were swimming there in January. The hotel is very nice, inexpensive Mon. - Thurs., much more on the weekend.

I'll recommend one other -- right on Bourbon Street. It's called the Inn on Bourbon, and it has a nice interior courtyard and pool area.
