Rant: It was 55 degrees here today. It's winter...it should feel like winter!
Rant: The diabetic test strips I won on Ebay for my DH aren't here yet. Won them over a week ago. CRAP!
Rave: Only 12 weeks left to go in this pregnancy...woohoo!

Rant: The vet says our 15 year old golden retriever has a brain lesion and her days with us are quite nearly over.
?: Does anyone get an MRI for a dog to confirm a terminal diagnosis?
Rave: 14.9 great years.
Rave: Ani only has 12 weeks to go before babyhood!

Thanks, Iregeo and GoTravel. We were told to wait up to 3 weeks to see if there is any improvement in her motor abilities before we put her through more tests.
Rave: She's improved slightly this morning.
Rant: Using keyboard while keeping fingers crossed for good luck is not easy!

obxgirl-I know what you are going through. Our Shepherd had a tumor removed on the backside of his leg down near his paw and lab reports confirmed soft tissue carcinoma. The vet said she could not get it all because of blood vessels etc. down there. She suggested radiation treatments. The downside is they have to knock him out for radiation and they can't guarantee the results. Plus his age and size are a factor. He is 10 and about 130 lbs. Big boy. He hates the vet and has to be tranquilized every time he goes.
Razzle-I went up to the top of the Marblehead Lighthouse on Lake Erie this summer. You have to go up metal steps which are very narrow then through a narrow door. Alot of people chickened out going up when they saw the spiral with those steps. But the view was incredible!
Rant-The weather.
Rave-3 months to vacation.

Buckmom: That sounds like our Pt.Arena lighthouse-could you see thru
the stairs as you went higher?! I had to keep looking up on my way down!
But, the view was worth it!

Razzle-Yup, see through stairs spiraling all the way to the top. I would hate to be a "large" person trying to go up them. Marblehead is the oldest, continuous lighthouse on the Great Lakes and IMHO one of the prettiest. I love lighthouse!
