Cassandra and sfowler, happy birthday to you!

Ani: I can't beleive it is one more week. I feel like I am having vacarious "I'M SICK AND TIRED OF BEING PREGNANT AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE" feelings w/you. I hope you don't post next Friday and we can all cheer for that.

Rave: Today was a "10", even better than that Pierce Brosnan fantasy I've been harboring for years. Absolutely perfect day. Massage by the pool, under the lanai, by a very profesional massage therapist. Then a two hour advanced trail ride w/my daughter on slightly spirited horses. Cantored through the trails which were surrounded by huge old trees w/spanish moss hanging down and touching the ground, and several natural boggy lake areas.

Rave: I should have scheduled the massages after the horse ride instead of before. I'm walking funny and need ibuprofen.

Rave: The massage therapist was a hoot. Big guy, was an iron welder for 20 yrs, and rides a Harley. Got heavy metal poisoning from working around the metal and had to change jobs. Best massage either of us have ever had. Massageworks in Kissimmee, and they make housecalls.

Okay, you can go ahead and call me needy, or whatever the *uck it is referred to in your vocabulary, but my Rant is:

Why do people who you offer advice to here totally blow you off? And then, on top of it all, to never offer a trip report. Man - oh - man! BS!!

Okay, I feel better now........

Paul

Happy Birthdays!!
Scarlett...I am afraid to post our baby girl's name after some of the mean spirited threads that have gone through here...but here it is anyway...her name will be Riley Larkin...nice and Irish. (Larkin is a family surname). Thanks for asking!

Thanks for the labor vibes, everyone...keep 'em coming!

Paul, I agree with your rant. I just posted on another thread that I had never had that happen, but I think it just did. I wrote a detailed email to someone who contacted me directly and have yet to receive a thank you or acknowledgment. It hasn't been quite a week, so I haven't given up quite yet.

Hi, sfowler -- and happy day+1. I'll bet anything I'm older than you are, alas (FDR died 3 days after I was born). My regards to Chicago -- lived there for 8 yrs. in northern suburb, miss the music, skyline, art, drama, lake. Do NOT miss the weather or the traffic. But certainly would like to live near a major hub airport again.

Second the rant about people who blow off our advice, esp. the ones who appear to have one fixed idea from the start and don't really want to do anything else.

Ani, that's a beautiful name! I'm so excited for you - I've been counting the weeks. Hope the labour/delivery thing goes well - my daughter was pleasantly surprised by hers, 5 months ago, and said "Mom, it was like you said - it's just lots of hard work!"
My rave today is that this is the third sunny day in a row, despite weather predictions to the contrary. Our daffodils are just about ready to bloom - the recent freeze doesn't seem to have affected them.
Happy Easter, everybody!

Rant: My 12 yr. old son left yesterday for a vacation with his best friend (and best friend's parents) - and I miss him already!!!

Rave: My 12 yr. old son gets to visit Quebec City, Montreal, and Ottawa!

Rant: Spring isn't here yet. I'm SO tired of being cold.

Rave: Spring should be here soon.
