shaz60, Congratulations on raising $10,000. What does "They are 75% free and reduced lunch and 60% Southeast Asian" mean?

Cigale, SO HAPPY to hear about your pooch! It's scary when our furry friends have to undergo surgery! Give the pooch a scratch for me.

Never fear, the pounds will come back off... You have to celebrate life sometimes, and eat lettuce later!

Hope you are having a good weekend!

Rant:
people who come on here and try to make controversial political statements. Then when they are ignored they come back to make more. I wonder if wemr is upset that nobody is taking the bait and getting into arguing. Take such discussions elsewhere!

Rave: the other posters who are ignoring the political fights here.

Rant: My poor sweet Beagle had surgery yesteday. He had 6 masses removed and his teeth cleaned. To add insult to injury, he had to have a major molar extracted. He is soooo pitiful right now and makes me want to cry.

Rave: None of his masses were cancerous, and he'll be just fine. (I hope I will.)

Rant: He was up most of the night and so was I. I'm so tired...

thanks Bonnie Enjoy your week-end.
iregeo, I know what you mean but after so many teeth cleanings, he now has lost alot of them and so he gets frustrated not being able to pick up his chewys and toys. His blindness makes it impossible.

Mimi, I'm happy to hear that your pooch is on the mend.

Iregeo, sorry to hear about your pooch and surgery. I hope yours in on the mend and back to normal very quickly.

Hi wemr- My comments about free/reduced lunch and the Southeast Asian were in reference to the recently topped thread that discussed how immigrants brought down cities in the US. Our community is not rich and we have always been a city of immigrants. Although every community has some bad apples, I have found most immigrants to be hard working, generous, decent people who are interested in supporting their new country and each other.

Hi Statia thanks.
I, too shaz live in a multi ethnic part of Cambridge, as a result, We have great restaurants featuring the food of Aphganistan to Africa. Wonderful Indian shops, and a lesson in tolerance.
