Rant: Summer is over for me. Preplanning week for teachers starts Monday.

Rave: If things go as planned, I may be taking an extended leave in a couple of weeks for a super-duper good reason :-"

Rave: Our bathroom redo came out really well...just a few little finishing touches and we're done! No more dust and mess!

Rave: Another bedroom is almost decorated too! Just need to find a couple of pretty do-dads and that will be done too!

Rant: Summer vacation is almost over, DD starts school next week....homework lurks over the horizon...

Rave: T.S. Chris was a non-event for Puerto Rico!

Tiny Rant: I am still in post-vacation daze (denial) and have not even unpacked my suitcase after being home for a week.

Rave: We can start planning our next vacation and I don't really need anything from the unpacked suitcase.

Rant: We might have to skip a year before we go back to Europe...this trip was a bit more expensive than what we originally hoped for.

Rave: Every single cent spent was absolutely worth it!

Rave: I will spend the weekend putting together the vacation album...boy, is Switzerland a photogenic country or what!

Rave: I met Scarlett and Pup this week, and had a teriffic time in Portland!! I was planning to post a report this weekend, but it might not happen. (to be explained in Rant)


Rave: DH hits the big 5-0 tomorrow. Of course, I am many years younger.

Rant: I've been asked to work all weekend!! We don't normally work weekends at this office, but there's an awful lot to do. DH is not happy I'll be working on his bday and of course, neither am I. Also this will hinder my trip report posting. <sigh>

Rave: We bought tix to a comedy show Saturday night for DH's bday.

Rave: I leave Sunday for Aspen, CO to attend a week long adult skate camp!

Rave: The girlfriend who went with me last year can't go this year so she packed me a camp kit to include a disposable camera and a framed picture of the group we competed with a couple of years ago to take with me--so sweet!

Rave: My father-in-law who stays in contact with me and offers to edit photos and video from camp.

Rave: Discovered the book "The Disease To Please" this week--taking it with me on the road.

Rave: MercyMe and Casting Crown's latest CDs.

Rave: Our neighbor across the street was able to free a skunk that became trapped in her pool filter! He sprayed but fortunately for her she was up wind.

Rave: National Night Out party drew the largest crowd ever in the cul-de-sac--we are grateful for our wonderful neighbors.

Rant: My pants were feeling very tight this morning, surely because I left then in the dryer too long. I vowed to eat right today in order to better fit into my shrunken pants. But just now some BOZO brought in 2 boxes of donuts!! I want the record to show that I only ate a donut under protest.

Rave: All the parents who have given their sons to the military to keep America safe in Iraq. Your reward is that you can call yourself “Patriots” for their sacrifice.

Rave: My father finally seems to be feeling better. Actually, I think a little too much as he's trying to go back to life as normal. He still should be a little restricted since the pacemaker was only put in a week ago. Oh well, guess I'd rather have it that way than the alternative.

Rave/Rant: New windows came for our house, but landlord can't find anyone to install them. What kind of operation is this?

Rave/Rant: It is now less than 2 very short months until the big day. I'm nervous, excited, and stressed all at the same time. Maybe I could use a pacemaker.

Rant: Weight loss has seemed to come to a halt the past few months. I guess 24lbs gone is still a pretty major feat.

Rave: Another week closer to Puerto Vallarta!!!!!!

Rave: The heat has broke here and it's supposed to be a beeeeaaautiful weekend. I hope to spend some quality romance time with the fiance.

Rant: Because it took so long to get our tickets booked with FF for LA and our skiing trip in January The Steamboat Grand is now booked up with conferences. I had my heart set on staying there.

Rave: Travel Agent finally got their act together and we have booked a two bed condo in the Torian Plum.

Rant: Need to do my French homework for class next Tuesday.

Rave: Now have the weekend in which to do it.

Rant: Dog just threw up on the couch and I had to clean it up.

Rave: I love him to death so I just felt sorry for him.
