Rave: first time posting in the Freaky Friday threads!

Rant: supposed to be 110 all weekend

Rave: Tuesday, last day of class for first half of summer semester.

Rant: just tried to post this, but looks like still having posting difficulties

Rant: DH going to Ca to go racing on Sat.

Rave: taking DS's to the Circus on Sunday.

Rave: had fun day off this week with my kiddo at the pool.

Rant: being heckled by Duck Tour and Trolley Tour drivers. Why does this seem to be a fun thing to do? All I want to do is get to the train station and go home. Who cares what's in my shopping bag, how big my sunglasses are, how high my heels are, or why I'm wearing a suit? And why is that funny? Happens at least 2x a week!

Rant: doggie number 2 having liver problems and taking him to a specialist tomorrow.

Rave: I got a good report from the doctor- my broken shoulder is mending well, but my broken ankle has not begun to heal- it's really hard to keep off of it. I have to keep thoughts of wanting to be able to walk all over Rome next year, so I will remember to rest my ankle now.

marigross ~ that is wonderful news that your Mom will require no further treament! What a peaceful and relaxing time you will have on your trip abroad, you may have to duct tape her to the sofa though, ha, so that incision heals, taking the kesy away was a good idea!

Rant ~ Fires, floods, hurricanes, tornados and other devastations that take away one's home.

Rave ~ People that try. You know what I mean? Whether the outcome is good, bad or otherwise, just people hat "try". And THAT is all I will say about THAT!

Rant: gyppielous Max being hit by a hit and run--grrrrrh. Rave that he is on the road to recovery.

Rant: devestated to learn this week that my hair dressers 6 year old boy has been diagnosed with leukemia. She found out the same day she learned she is pregnant with her fourth child. What a mix of emotions.

Found out this week that the moving sale that were to have next Spring we are going to be having this summer. "We" meaning "me"... I haven't a clue, I helped someone with one once but it was years ago... anyone have any good tips?

Run an add, post some signs, have everything set up so it can fly with sun or rain??? Amy I getting close?

Very sorry to hear about your friend, but think positive.
DW had OC also in 1973. After surgery she was given a 40% chance to live five years. She went through two years of chemo and celebrates her 68th birthday next month.

Rave: My husband is finally painfree and able to do things again (like walk and bike) after 5 months...new medicine for Rheumatoid Arthritis..like a miracle!

Tiff - moving sales, ugh! Only tip I have is if your signs say you open at 8, be prepared for "visitors" as early as 6:30 or 7:00. Good luck!

Thanks for all your good thoughts for my friend. It's such a sad story, how quick it seems to have come about. And mms, the only problem she's had is a feeling of fatigue the past few months, something you young moms probably have on a daily basis. But they've now removed most everything from inside her, so hopefully she can recover.

AnnMarie, what a heartbreaking story about your hair dresser. Thank God leukemia is so much more treatable than it used to be. She and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rave: It's a truly beautiful day here. High 60's, low 70's, sunny. Just gorgeous!

Rave: That Liberty Mutual commercial that shows random acts of kindness.

Rave: Knock on wood, the site seems to be working better. At least I got the reply box on the first try!

Rant/rave: A 26 year old co-worker has asked our 20 year old (21 in Sept) daughter to a play Sunday night. She's not really sure whether it's a date or whether he just wanted someone to go with him. My husband took it much, much better than I expected. However our son said "No!". He's so mean to her himself. And so protective of her when it comes to others!

Tiff ..make sure you have a price on everything. Use a fannie pack kind of thing for the money (safety) and have at least one (two is better) other people to help you.

Nope jorr. I just couldn't sign on one day. I emailed several times and was finally told why. I'm staying mum on the "goodies" until after the GTG

P_M- that's one of the most wonderful stories I've ever heard. Of course, something very similar happened to someone I know in the 70's when a couple eloped to Walhalla, SC when the bride was 15! I think they are still married!
