Rant:
Weird behavior lately from internet people. Emails, postings, little insults injected into threads, just plain weird
Rave:
Friends, REAL Friends, Cyber Friends, New friends, Old Friends, at times like this ( elections/stressful) you find out who they are

FFRR for connecting us in our little Ranting and Ravings

RAVE:
It is in the 70s and bright and sunny and my azaleas are blooming!!

Rave: Starting IVF injections very soon.

Rant: Cold and rainy here in North GA.

Rave: It's Friday, and I'm going to do absolutely nothing this weekend!

GT....I am sitting here with a smile on my face. I just cannot imagine you camping! It's funny how we perceive people...and I just cannot for the life of me see you at a campsite!

Rant - pots that call kettles black

Rave - genuinely nice people on Fodor's, not the ones who blow their own horns

Rave: We celebrated my daughter's 12th birthday yesterday by taking her and a group of her friends on a tour of Fenway Park. The tour was great in and of itself but the absolute highlight was seeing Bronson Arroyo (pitcher for the Red Sox) in front of the park and he graciously signed all 9 girls baseball hats. This despite the fact that Larry Lucchino was clearly waiting to talk to him and that they both were on their way to Rhode Island to celebrate the World Series win.

I camped once!
We went to Marthas Vineyard and had a tent and everything..woke in the night with this funny feeling on my head, turned on the flashlight and had a zillion Daddy-Longlegs crawling on me/us.
Want to know how fast one can wake up an entire campground with a scream?
Next morning we went to a B&B.

icee, my husband likes to refer to me as the lipstick granola.

Believe it or not, I am very athletic and outdoorsy in a Manolo Blahnik sort of way.

You cannot be an avid sailor with out some tomboy in you. I used to do sailboat deliveries offshore for Beneteau when I was in college. North Carolina to Key West etc. You can't be Miss Priss when everything you own is covered in salt water and you have been living in foulies for a week.

Besides, I need some occaision to wear my Uggs don't I?

Scarlet, that is sooo funny (and creepy). Eeeww. I also camped once. Couldn't walk upright for two days. I now tell everyone that in my estimation, roughing it will be at the nearest Holiday Inn.

LOL, jersey that is smart

Rant:
I have been called snippy and bitchy on another thread for making a joke about Bridget Jones. I think I will take a Friday break from Fodors..as too much sniping depresses me.
Have a great day, TGIF

Rant: My favorite radio station has ARLEADY switched to ALL Christmas music. I'm no scrooge, but I miss listening to the regular stuff - none of the other local stations seem to match my taste.

Rave: Edy's Grand Light Peppermint Ice Cream - so yummy!! I just tried it last night and I think I'm hooked!!! Even better w/a little Dark Chocolate Syrup!!!!!!!!!

Scarlett: You must be kidding. Anyone who called YOU snippy and bitchy certainly has a problem. Your posts are always positive and upbeat, and very, very credible. You even politely fires out when negative threads get started by adding a little lighthearted perspective. I am thankful you are here. Have a good weekend.

Rave: As usual, all the great folks here. Sometimes it helps me to have the board to escape from real life. So thanks everybody for being so...fodor-licous!!! I hope everyone starts feeling better (I have a cold too). And stop picking on Scarlett!

Rant: Post election stress syndrome that is wracking folks and making people whacky.

Rave #2: Florida. Need I say more? My neighbor is giving me her beach cottage this wknd. while mine is rented. Yahoooo!

Rant: That I can't go camping with GT -- if only to see how she adjusts to being back in the saddle! Enjoy the stars.

bonniebroad I think your weight training will help with the plateau. Dunno if you remember but last recipe thread you'd provided a gingerbread recipe turned out wonderful...looove anything ginger

Scarlett,

Newbie Barbie, I wish you all the best!

Jersey, I'm with you--my idea of camping is Motel 6

Note to bonniebroad : If you haven't changed up your exercise routine, then it's time to do so. The body acclimates. This may be one reason for the plateau.
