Too bad you didn't get a snow day in, Caph! I like the sound of the "plan" that's in place. Sometimes children need a little push outside of their comfort zone -- it only takes a little bit of time and they readjust. It sounds like the change will be positive for all concerned.

Have I adjusted to my son being back at school? YES! I feel awful for even thinking this, but he was starting to get on my nerves -- and I really enjoy when he's home. I've been a little stressed out lately, so I needed my space. He only started to "come alive" at around 11p.m., just as I was ready to fall over with exhaustion, lol. Anyway, it seems that he misses us since he's called US more than we've called HIM -- guilty conscious maybe?? We did have some good fun together, but now it's time for him to get back to some serious course work

I hope you have a good week. Always keeping good thoughts for you and your DH! Take care

OSB, hugs to you and hope the news is good.

PM, glad you got your heat back and you will not have to resort to roasting your head, lol

Finally got a chance to read all the postings. JJ5, my thoughts and prayers are with you, your Mom, sister and Dad. You seem like such a strong lady.

To everyone who is dealing with health issues, Faina, PM, OWJ, klr6773-my thoughts are with you also.

Ethel-How great you found your wedding dress.

prettylake-Congratulations on your upcoming grandchild.

PM-Glad you got your heater fixed.

I'll be around a while. My Mom is home and my sister was there yesterday. She's good too. My brother, my dad and myself are giving my Mom her shots when she needs them on a time schedule. She is stabilized and will be around at least a couple of months like this and then it will be different, so I'm taking a leave when the change occurs.

Thanks for all the good wishes. My Dad is being like a doctor himself, but he tells me that when it's all over, he's going too. Not!

Good news in the midst of the absolute worst life has to offer. My girlfriend who never, ever thought she would have a child or a grandchild and did with complete surprise after 17 years of being married in her late 30's- showed up to display to me her grandbaby's blob on a 9 week ultrasound.

Her daughter is a skier, nurse and older as well and hadn't thought she wanted any kids. Rita is just glowing with joy and she will be the best looking grandma I've ever seen in my
life. I have 5 and will probably have more some day as 1 kid hasn't started yet. They are great fun and put you into another rhelm of perception too- absolutely.

PrettyLake, enjoy the one you get- what a thrill.

Thanks too, to all! Support does help.

JJ5: thanks for letting us know your mom is home and hoping she's resting as comfortably as possible. What awesome news about your friend--I got goose-bumps as I was reading. Was once told by a very wise lady that grandchildren are truly not over-rated-I appreciate your warm wishes and looking forward to this next phase of life
