Four Seasons Maui: Mountain View or Garden View?

Will be booking one of the two types.

Can anyone share any experiences with staying in either type room?

With the Mountain view room deal, you can get the room, rental car, AND the $30 p/p breakfast buffet included for $425 plus 11.4% tax for the year 2005. It's even less for this year I think. That's what we're booking for next Sept. If you find a better deal, let us know!

We like this deal as we enjoy having the great filling breakfast, and not needing to eat again till dinner...and we need a car. The garden view rooms are much better views, but we'd rather save the substantial savings per night which basically pays for a "free" dinner out each evening. That's how we look at it, at least. We'd love to be able to afford Garden view, but we feel good about the potential for an upgrade as our friend works for FS corporate and she said she'd put in a good word for us. Even if we don't get an upgrade, we'll be happy just being there, for "cheap".

Good luck,
Steve

I guess, unless you have friends in high places, and best of luck stever...it is my understanding that 4S upgrades everything but the mountainview, since it is such a deal. I have payed for ocean front, and returned booking garden, as a return visitor I was automaticly upgraded. Have fun!

Thanks Stever, Gippie.

So, how was the garden view room?

And the Ocean front?

Worth the extra money?

Haven wasted thousands at the 4S, I would say, if you really crave an ocean view/front then go for it. I haven been there done that, will certainly return and happily book the cheapest room I can if only to stay longer at this great hotel. Good luck

Will probably go for the garden and see if upgrade is available.

I'm wondering though if the garden may actually be prettier than a partial ocean?
