Spent one week there last April (2002) and loved it. The golf course is spectacular - beautiful fairways with tons of flowers! Nice spa. But the weather in April is still a bit chilly. Great restaurants in the area - took the recommendations of the concierge.

It is absolutely fabulous - beautiful grounds, near the flower fields (gorgeous in the Spring), great restaurant, golf course. Only drawback is that it is pretty far inland and therfore not really close to anything. If you have a car though and don't mind driving into San Diego proper for sights, restaurants, other activities then I would go for it.

I stayed for 4 nights on business last June. June can also be overcast esp in the morning.
Since I didn't have to fork out for the stay, I did enjoy the hotel but I don't think I would personnally spend that much $$ for what you get. Room are nice, the service is great, food was o.k.
