Fort Lauderdale condo
We have stayed the last couple of years for the week between Christmas and New Year's on the beach in Fort Lauderdale at a place called Ocean Manor. We rented from the condo owners and the condos were fine, but the hotel rooms are really in need of work. This year it seems to be more difficult to find something, and I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any beachfront resorts in the Fort Lauderdale area that have two-bedroom suites. Or if you have any ideas or know of any websites besides vrbo where we can connect with an owner. Thanks for your help.

you won't get a very good rate for the Marriott Harbor Beach between Christmas & New Years. If you want top notch accommodations, I understand Lago Mar is great and the beach area is more private.
Marriott Beach Place Towers are across the street from the beach (as are most of the hotels along the Beach) and located in the middle of all the action at Beach Place, but I'm sure you are familiar with this location.
Good luck in your search.

In Pompano they have the Lighthouse Cove, which are condos right on the ocean. I have never stayed here but have walked around the outside. Nice pool area, hot tub, and tiki bar. They have 1 and 2 bedroom units. Their website has good virtual tours, and their prices are reasonable. Lighthousecove.com

Thanks for the replies. Lago Mar is beautiful, but too pricey. I was very excited when I saw this Lighthouse Cove website, but when I called, he said they won't even know if there would be any availability until September because it is a timeshare. Unfortunately, we are going from Sunday to Sunday, which will make renting a timeshare difficult. If anyone else has any suggestions, I would appreciate it very much.
