foilage and fireplaces in santa fe
We'll be arriving in Santa Fe at the end of the month. We'll we still see the colorful foilage? Also, would you let a gas-lit/wood burning fireplace influence your decision about where to stay--just wondering what you think? Thanks.

I think you may see some of the aspens and cottonwoods with some color. I was there mid September and nothing was changing yet so you might have some color left.
As for the fireplace, we prefer to have one but would depend on what my choices were. Are you talking about an indoor fireplace or an outdoor fireplace? If outdoor, I would absolutely choose that because it will be a wonderful cool temperature to sit out by the fire. Indoor is good, too.
Where are you considering staying?

One question: do you have dogs?
And regarding if I would let a gas-lit/woodburning fireplace influence my decision on where to stay, I guess that would depend on whether the fireplace had given me good advice on hotels in the past.
(i'm sorry, I couldn't help myself, it's Friday)

Baaad emd...
The leaves are just starting to change here in Albuquerque, so I'm not sure what will be left in Santa Fe by then. It'll still be pretty, though.
I think a fireplace sounds lovely and romantic.
