Flying to ANC-which side of plane is best?

We are flying to Anchorage from the midwest. Which side of the plane has the best view? (If you say "right" or "left", please specify if you mean that side as you are boarding the plane or sitting in your seat.) Thank you!

Right side as you face forward, aka starboard.

I sat on the left side, facing forward, flying out of Seattle and saw Mt. McKinley off to the left.

Don't know what the view was on the other side.

Right side. Good views all along the way up and incredible views of Ice fields as you near Anchorage.

I agree that the right side is the place to be when the visibility is good, but keep in mind that the surface wind direction dictates which runway the plane will land on, and thus affects the flight path. IOW, sometimes the right side can be the wrong side.

Oops. Sorry, mamak. I actually flew into Fairbanks, not Anchorage. We did stop in Anchorage, but Mt. McK was visible on the second leg of the trip, between Anch. and Fairbanks.

So if you ever fly into Fairbanks, sit on the left side.
