You could fly into Tampa and rent a car and drive an hour to St Pete Beach....The DonCesar mentioned above enjoys great reviews and one that we have not stayed at but I would like to is TradeWinds; http://www.tradewindsresort.com/prop...and-grand.aspx
We love to explore St Pete Beach and surrounding areas.
