rimvap, a lot depends on your budget. The best Disney experiences obviously cost more. How much do you want to spend per night on a room? do you want to stay on-site or off-site?

The best experiences at that age involve the dining events with the characters... plan a breakfast, lunch, and dinner with his favorites... also consider the luau, western theme, or whatever is his current obsession... take lots of pictures, because that age won't remember a lot....

A lot of families like the packages offered by WDW which include admission, hotel, food, photo, etc.

Be aware that some little kids are frightened by the characters because of their size (they must expect them to be child sized). We were at an (inadvertent) character breakfast at DowntownDisney Hilton and several little kids were very upset by the characters and began crying - a couple had to be take out of the breakfast rooms they were so upset.

So prepare your son that the characters are very large (adult size plus character heads).
