Flights to Kauai from Midwest in late Feb.?

I'll be flying to Kauai in late February for one week -- what should I expect to pay for airfare at that time, and when should I reserve?

My husband isn't the most fond of flying and would like to have a window seat for the flight. To help his comfort level. So, at any rate, I can't wait too long, for fear that the exterior seats will fill up. At the same time, I do enjoy the deals, but if I won't end up saving too much off what's listed online now I'll just suck it up and book now.

Suggestions?

Which airport are you flying out of?
ATA flies out of several midwest cities and sometimes they have the lowest airfare.

You could fly United from Chicago to San Francisco and then get the nonstop to Lihue from SFO. This would save the hassle of a plane change in Honolulu.

We paid $650 flying United from Fargo, ND this past March (left on the 3rd). I had waited all summer for prices to fall. Finally got the deal on Oct 4th.
We also fly out of Minneapolis and I think the rate was about the same.

You can also connect in LAX for a direct flight to Lihue. We did that. It was great. Got there around 3:30pm.
