Flights to Denver
I am usually over at the Europe forum, but I have a local question. I am flying out to Denver in July (have not seen my sister in nearly 2 year).
I have been searching and searching for flight deals...anything, but right now everything is in the high 300's to mid 400 range.
Any suggestions before I bite the bullet and by my flight.
Anything to save $$ would be helpful.
Thanks!!!

It's easy to leave out simple details when you're trying to make sure you include the big stuff.
Which days/how long will your trip be, when you say weekend.
From my personal flight search experience, it seems flight prices are just pretty high this summer, even accounting for increased fuel costs. I'm looking at Detroit to NYC in mid-July for a weekend and expected to find fares under $250, but they're closer to $300 and have held there for several weeks.
If you haven't done so already, try putting your info into www.kayak.com or www.sidestep.com to see if they come up with anything cheaper than you're seeing.

JetBlue flies from Boston to Denver. If I recall correctly though, the flights are rather late - more like redeye. If they are offering their $99 one-ways, that might be worth it.
I book flights from Denver to Providence a lot, sometimes Boston. I usually find my best deals on American and Northwest - the lowest prices (under $200) only happen about twice per year though. Good luck.

You just need to keep shopping. I just plugged in some dates in July and got a non-stop for $303. List yourself on the Fare watcher on the various sites and they will tell you when the fare goes down.
Northwest is having some pretty aggressive fare cuts that we have taken advantage of for Denver. But summer may be a higher cost.

You can fly Southwest from PVD for $131.60 one-way to Denver on Mon, July 3. Also found some $284 on Sun, July 2. It's 45 min bus ride from Boston South Station to T.F. Green Airport and cost like $15 bucks if that. Go to Southwest and play around and you'll find something you like.
