Ouray - Airport?

I looked online http://www.ouraycolorado.com/General+Info

and it lists 4 airports (Montrose, Telluride, Grand Junction, or Durango) to fly into. I am new to Colorado and looking for a non-stop flight from the East Coast.

Which airport should I fly into? We can fly from either NYC,Boston, Manchester, Providence and need a NON-STOP flight. I don't mind driving 2-4 hours to get there.

-------------
Distances
Durango: 80 miles (2 hours)
Telluride: 47 miles (1 hour)
Montrose: 34 miles (40 minutes)
Silverton: 23 miles (40 minutes)
Cortez: 125 miles (3 hours via Telluride)
Grand Junction: 96 miles (2 hours)
Mesa Verde: 110 miles (3 hours)
Moab: 133 miles (3 hours)
Colorado Springs: 267 miles (5-6 hours)
Denver: 300 miles (6-7 hours)
Albuquerque: 300 miles (6 hours)

Transportation
Ouray can be reached by automobile or by flying into one of several nearby locations. Air service is available into Montrose, Telluride, Grand Junction, or Durango..

The Telluride and Montrose airports are pretty small, and I doubt there are any direct flights from any of your origination airports to either one.

I would fly into Grand Junction. Denver is more like 6-8 hours from Ouray, without stopping (which you would want to do if you have never been to CO before). I don't know if you can get a non-stop to GJ from your locations. In my opinion, a second short flight from Denver to Grand Junction is worth staying in Ouray as opposed to Denver.

I also doubt you can get a non-stop to any of the cities mentioned, except perhaps, maybe, during ski season when some airlines do seasonal service to select Colorado cities.

You won't get a direct flight from Providence. You can get a direct flight into Denver from Boston, but then the drive is about 6 hours. I don't know about NYC or Manchester.

Your best bet is to fly into Denver and then to Montrose. This is by far the most convenient. Any other route will be a lot more hassle and time consuming taking all factors into account.
