FL: Orlando: Best Non-Disney Hotel

Any suggestions for a nice hotel located close to the Disneyworld complex? Ideally, I'm looking for a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite that will sleep three adults with a reasonable amount of privacy. We're going for 4 nights in mid-January (Friday through Sunday). We are considering the All Star Resort, because it's very reasonable and on-property ($82 per night; we would get two rooms or a family suite at the Music location for $164 per night), but I think that we might get a nicer hotel off property, with a better pool and less children. We've stayed on property before, and still felt that a car was necessary due to the slow and crowded transportation from the value resorts (the deluxe resorts on the monorail system are another story, but we aren't looking to spend a fortune for this particular somewhat spontaneous trip). We are currently booked at the Staybridge Suites in Lake Buena Vista on Suiteside Drive in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath suite with living room and full kitchen (it sleeps 8, even though we're a party of 3 only). It looks pretty nice, with good reviews on TripAdvisor. But I'm wondering if there are better choices. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you checked Summerfield Suites?

Marriott has several condo complexes across I-4 from Disney World that would offer 2BR and 2Bath. Don't know the prices on your night. I also would anticipate that you would have nicer pools with fewer children. The condos are listed on their web site. A residence in is N of Lake Buena Vista and a Summerfield is directly across I-4.

We have stayed at Marriott Grande Vista the past two years, and it's a very nice resort. Not sure what the nightly rates are, but if you're a member of Interval International you can probably get a fantastic weekly rate booking it as a Getaway, paying cash instead of using timeshare points/trade.

You may want to try the Homewood Suites.
