FL hotel with best pool and also a beach??

I am planning a vacation for my husband & I and want to know which hotels in FL have the best pools & also a nice beach. The location of the hotel is not that important as we are open to going pretty much anywhere. Also a good variety of restaurants either at the hotel or very close by would be great.

The Don Ceasar in St. Petersburg Beach has 2 beautiful pools and a beautiful beach. The resort has been renovated and is wonderful. They have 2 very good restaurants and there are some local restaurants worth visiting nearby. The areas around The Don Ceasar are fun to explore and there is a lot to do for adults. Either Sarasota or Tampa airports are about 45 minutes away.

The Boca Raton Resort is wonderful. I also agree with the Don Cesar.

2 hotels which come to mind (you did not specify what part of FL) are the breakers in palm beach, and the national hotel in south beach. by far the better bet (obviously) for other stuff to do would be the national. if they have a website you should check out the pool. wow. and if you get tired of the pool, pull the latch on the gate and whammo you're right on the beach. the hotel's actually in a bit of a quieter area of sobe so you can kick back and relax, then party all night further south.

One other thing I should have mentioned is that we will be traveling with our 10 month old daughter. Would any of these hotels NOT be appropriate for a child? Both the Don Cesar & the Boca Raton look beautiful, I'm going to check out the other suggestions now.
Thanks!

The Don CeSar always has plenty of families around the pool. You definitely will not feel out of place. This is my favorite hotel in the entire Clearwater/St Pete strip--hands down, the best of the best there. We took a busman's holiday there in January for our anniversary--the renovation was extensive and it all looks terrific.

The Boca Raton Resort has wonderful children's programs. Very family friendly. Even though your daughter is probably too young to participate, I still think you would enjoy the resort.

Matkat -- forget sobe with a kid, you may also want to check out one more, with a 10 month old this hotel would be ideal -- Marriott Delray Beach. It's just across a1a from what i consider to be the best beach in florida, with plenty of rentable cabanas to keep the little one shady, and lots of great restos right on the corner of atlantic ave and a1a. the hotel, a resort-style hotel, also has a wonderful pool which is absolutely perfect for a little one, our son loved it because the steps into the pool were shallow enough that he could wade in it. and because it really caters to families, everyone has a very laid back attitude toward couples with young children. i've been going to this hotel for 20 years, back when it was a holiday inn! let me know and i'll give you lots of other restaurant/sightseeing suggestions in the area. Delray beach is pretty much equidistant from fort lauderdale and west palm beach airports.

i don't but i think that the chamber of commerce might have some suggestions. you could also go to delraybeachonline.com and click on marketplace to possibly see listings.

I stayed at the Hyatt Resort in Bonita Spings... 3 pools and a short boat ride to their private island. The hotel also has 3 restaurants. Nearby places include Fort Myers, Naples and Sanibel and Captiva Island.

Has anyone else found that the Marriott in Delray has a lot of children?
