Hi - well I guess I meant to say - whenever it opens. And I forgot but our package at the hyatt includes breakfast. But I don't know when it starts. Oh well - food is not a big deal - I was just wondering what people did.

So what time does Diamond Head officially open???

I would check out Eggs n' Things. That is where people tend to flock, I am not sure about the times though as I believe they are open pretty late. We really never found a reasonable great breakfast. the best for us was to whip something up in the condo or get fresh fruit from ABC.

This web site indicates that gates to Diamond Head State Monument open at 6 am

http://www.hawaii.gov/dlnr/dsp/oahu.html

Print the brochure that is available on line, it has good info on the hike.

Eggs'n Things is open all night so no problems getting breakfast at 4:00am there. It's a bit of a walk from the Hyatt though, about 15-20 minutes maybe. Good mac nut pancakes.
