First aide for a burn

Whilst attemping to remove small pieces of paper from my laser printer following a paper jam, I burned the dickens of two fingers. What should I use to treat it.

This is travel related because I was printing flight confirmations for a trip to Miami in January. Thank you for your help, kind Fodoripes.

Best immediate first aid for a burn is to soak it in cool water. Next-best is to put fresh aloe on it, or bottled if you don't have any fresh. Keep it clean and covered. Do NOT put on anything greasy. If it gets irritated, or if the original burn went through the skin, see a doctor.

Oh, Hyacinth. Sorry about your boo-boo.
If Anonymous' tip doesn't help, an amputation may be necessary.

It's the bucket woman!!

Mrs. Bucket, wrap you burn in thick gauze and tell all of your neighbors and anyone who will listen that you have gout. Everyone know that gout is the disease of kings, I see no reason a queen cannot get gout as well. Besides, burning your finger on a laser printer is so beneath a lady of your stature. You must not get ailments which are so beneath you.

Speaking of queens, how are your son Sheridan and his best friend Tarquin? Is Sheridan still studying needlepoint at University?

Upon re-reading my post I can see numerous typos, thus slaughering the English language. A thousand pardons, Mrs. Boo-kay, I must stop hanging out with your BIL Onslow at the pub.

When you are done getting medical advice on Fodor's may I suggest getting a new printer.

I hear that www.hotels.com is having a great sale on 3 in 1 laser printers.
